Trainee Content Editor



About the role:

We are hiring a trainee content editor to join our busy events and conferences team. With 70+ events globally in 2018 and the plan to increase this number year on year, you will be responsible for providing effective organisational and administrative support for the events content team, for conferences attended by leading lawyers under the auspices of Global Competition Review, Global Arbitration Review, Global Investigation Review and Global Restructuring Review.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to kick-start a career in Events and Publishing. As a trainee content editor, you must be well organised, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and be willing to travel internationally. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail is also essential. You will receive full training and support and gain invaluable experience working for a busy and growing team.



  • Support the content editors with the creation of event programmes, across several different brands
  • Ensure all records are up to date and accurate, including online event listings
  • Join conference calls and use notes and research to draft skeleton conference programmes
  • Ensure post-conference content is ready to be published, through proof reading and contacting speakers
  • Liaise with different teams on behalf of content editors to ensure the smooth creation of each event
  • Work towards developing the skills to become a Content Editor 


  • An experienced and confident user of MS Office suite – Word; Excel; Access; PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent written communication and narrative style
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Able to interact effectively with colleagues both internally and externally
  • A proactive and quick learner
  • Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Bring positive energy to the role
  • Excellent attention to detail – ability to proof read and keep accurate records
  • Resilience and determination
