International Sponsorship and Marketing Manager 

London (requires regular travel to the US)

Salary: £35,000 

We have an exciting opportunity for an International Sponsorship and Marketing Manager who will be play an integral role in further developing our Event portfolio in the US.


Working closely with our events operations and content teams, you’ll identify and source sponsorship from leading law firms, ensuring they’re aligned with our content plans in order to maintain a high standard of programmes.  This role will be particularly focused on building relationships and sourcing sponsorship from US headquartered law firms for our Intellectual Property and Trademark events (under the IAM, WTR and IPBC brands).


What you would be doing:

  •  Successfully develop and secure new business for both new and existing events, looking to expand our sponsorship for US based events in particular our IAM events held in Chicago
  • Build and develop key client relationships with senior individuals in the Trademark sector
  • Content marketing for our WTR events and awards ceremonies
  • Manage allocated event targets by developing sales and marketing campaigns to meet revenue forecasts
  • Work closely with the team to develop high quality, commercially successful event programmes
  • Develop in-depth market and sector knowledge across our intellectual property and trademark brands
  • Attend client meetings in the US with key account firms to build relationships and source new business
  • Manage the CLE accreditation process for the New York and California Bar



What we are looking for:

  • Educated to degree level in Law
  • Experience building relationships with top tier law firms with a strong presence in the US
  • A strong understanding of the US legal system with a strong network in this area, ideally with experience working in-house in a US firm
  • Knowledge and experience working with Trademark law
  • Exceptional networking and negotiation skills
  • Proven track record of portfolio management across multiple clients
  • Experience of managing branding and marketing strategies for both new and existing clients
  • Ability to communicate effectively on the phone, by email and in person to senior stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve targets
  • International outlook
