We are hiring an events coordinator to join our busy events and conferences team. With 70+ events globally in 2018 and the plan to increase this number year on year, you will be responsible for providing effective organisational and administrative support to deliver awards ceremonies and conferences attended by leading lawyers under the auspices of Global Competition Review, Global Arbitration Review, Global Investigation Review, Latin Lawyer, Who’s Who Legal, Global Restructuring Review, Getting The Deal Through and LACCA.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to kick-start a career in Events and Conferences. As an events coordinator, you must be well organised, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and be willing to travel internationally. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail is also essential. You will receive full training and support and gain invaluable experience working for a busy and growing team.

What you would be doing:

  • Create and maintain event listings
  • Research and negotiate with venues/suppliers
  • Prepare conference materials  
  • Coordinate invitations
  • Create marketing HTMLs promoting the conferences  
  • Assisting the ‘Producer’ with admin duties before and during the event
  • Coordinate event logistics, including registration and dealing with on the day enquiries
  • Using CRM to record and manage event information
  • Maintaining client and speaker relations
  • Close out all events as required

What are we looking for:

  • An experienced and confident user of MS Office suite – Word; Excel; Access; PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in an office environment, Events experience is desirable but not essential
  • Organisational and administrative experience
  • A professional image and approach when working with clients
  • A proactive and quick learner
  • Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Bring personal energy to the role
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Evidence of customer service experience
  • Resilience and determination
